At LAKADA Design Atelier, we design and reposition resorts, retreats and residences around genuine human wellbeing — beginning with the land, not the amenities. Our studio specializes in wellness-focused hospitality developments across the Philippines — from repositioning resorts whose architecture no longer fits what today's traveler is looking for, to designing new retreats from the site upward, using tropical climate-responsive design and regenerative materials including bamboo. We work closely with owners and developers who share this vision, so that design and construction quality stay aligned with one mission: places that measurably support the wellbeing of the people who use them.

Our practice is built to diagnose before it designs. Every project starts with a clear read of the land, the client's goals, and the people who will actually use the space — before a single line gets drawn. From there we move through one continuous process: diagnose, strategise, design, document, deliver. The result is architecture built for what a place and its people genuinely need, not a template adjusted to fit.
Design Philosophy
We believe wellness begins with the land — not the spa. A building's power to support people comes from decisions made long before any amenity is chosen: how it reads its climate, how it honours the culture around it, how its materials feel to live with. Every LAKADA project treats these as the actual design brief, with sustainability and luxury following naturally from getting them right.
